During the technology and innovation tour of the Hong Kong Cyberport, North Point Methodist students deeply explored the future development trend of Web 3.0, experienced the charm of innovative technology, and deepened their understanding of STEM education and programming learning. We previously took North Point Methodist students to the Cyberport, Hong Kong’s technology center, for aWonderful journey of technology and innovation. During this journey, students not only learned about the future trends of Web 3.0, but also experienced the charm of innovative technology, and more deeply realized the importance of STEM education and programming learning.

Explore the future of Web 3.0

First, students learned about the development process of Web 1.0, Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 through interactive methods. From the initial Web 1.0, which could only read information, to the Web 2.0, which allows interactive communication, to the more free, secure and fair Web 3.0 in the future, technological progress has made our lives more convenient and richer.

In the introduction to Web 3.0, students learned that it will be an online world jointly managed by everyone. Everyone can freely create and share their own works and have their own virtual identity. It also makes them think about what they can do in this future world and how they will participate in it.
