Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly important role in multimedia film production, significantly improving creative efficiency and creative expression.This course will prepare students to become future media creators. Students will gain an in-depth understanding of the most cutting-edge AI technology and learn how to apply it to every step of media creation. The course is divided into five parts, covering content generation, virtual anchor and background creation, generative video/animation production, AI video editing techniques, and cross-language video translation.
This course combines innovative AI technology with traditional media training. Students will use AI tools such as D-ID and ElevenLabs to create virtual anchors, and learn to write press releases, conduct interviews, and produce professional news broadcast videos. The course covers AI portrait production, voice cloning, script creation, film editing and media literacy, etc., with the guidance of professional reporters/media professionals, leading students into the new world of AI media!

What will students learn?
In this course, students will learn how to use AI technology to create virtual anchors and combine it with traditional media literacy to produce professional news broadcast videos.
AI technology: Students will learn to use D-ID to convert still photos into AI anchors with expressions and movements, and use ElevenLabs for AI voice cloning and style conversion to give the anchor a unique voice. They will also learn how to write scripts, adjust lip sync, add special effects and background music, and use professional video editing software for post-production.
Media literacy: Students will learn news interviewing skills, news writing standards and journalism ethics, and, under the guidance of professional journalists/media professionals, conduct mock interviews and press release writing exercises to improve their ability to interpret media messages and critically think.
Students will master multimedia production skills and be able to use AI tools to create videos, from content writing to image generation. They will gain hands-on experience, participate in campus television productions, and apply the skills they have learned in practice. In addition, students will also improve their communication and expression skills and use AI tools to improve their presentation skills and creative expression. Through cross-language translation, their works will reach global audiences and enhance cross-cultural communication skills. This course will equip students with the ability to develop and produce multimedia works.
