Bei'ao Public School AI-STEAM Day concluded successfully! Explore the perfect blend of technology and sports with your kids!
On August 29, 2024, our Yunsi Intelligent team walked into Bei'ao Public School with a carefully designed AI-STEAM Day, and spent a day full of joy and surprises with parents and children! With the theme of "AI Olympics", this event perfectly integrates technology and sports, aiming to stimulate children's interest in technology, enrich their learning experience, and promote interaction between parents and children.
The atmosphere at the event was lively, with parents and children actively participating in various exciting booth activities:
1. Immersive VR sports experience: Wearing VR glasses, children feel as if they are in a real ski resort, experiencing the speed and passion of skiing, and feeling the immersive experience brought by technology.
2. AI Maqueen visual robot racing: Children transform into little programmers, learn to use Makecode to write programs, control the Maqueen robot to avoid obstacles, complete maze challenges, and learn programming logic thinking and machine vision principles in the game.
3. AI escapes quickly: Wearing Micro:bit accessories, children run around in the game, feel the wonderful interaction between the real world and the artificial intelligence platform, and learn the concepts of programming and artificial intelligence through challenges.
4. Drone performance and experience: After the wonderful drone performance, the children, under the guidance of the teacher, experienced the fun of flying a drone and learned the basic concepts of drones and the simplified version of the robot Blockly programming concept.
5. AI Art application experience: Children create freely on artificial intelligence platforms such as OpenArt, experience the magical charm of image analysis and image generation, and print out their own AI artworks as souvenirs.
6. AI fencing: The children held plastic swords and interacted with the Micro:bit device on the mannequin. They learned the basic elements of programming in the game and gained a sense of accomplishment from the challenge.
7. Rubber band car production: The children made rubber-band cars with their own hands, explored the relationship between the distance traveled by the rubber-band cars and the material of the rubber bands in the experiment, learned physical principles, and took home the technological works they made by themselves.
This AI-STEAM Day event not only allows children to experience the charm of technology, but also inspires their enthusiasm for learning technology. It also enhances communication and interaction between parents and children.
