Sports and STEM innovative courses
The Sports and STEM Innovation Course is a cutting-edge course jointly developed by the Education University of Hong Kong and us, aiming to deeply integrate STEM concepts with physical education teaching. This course uses platforms such as Makecode Arcade and Pictoblox AI to allow primary school students to explore the field of sports technology in an interactive way and improve their sports skills and STEM literacy.
Students will apply programming knowledge in sports activities and use Micro:bit sensors to create sports projects, such as posture correctors, smart skipping ropes, etc. They will also train AI models to recognize sports postures and develop interactive sports games that incorporate somatosensory.
Through creative game design and sports practice, students will develop computational thinking and movement strategies, and enhance physical coordination and creativity. The course focuses on teamwork and sportsmanship, and encourages students to share their experience in the application of sports technology during demonstrations.

Course content
What will students learn?
Sports and STEM innovative courses deeply integrate programming, sensors, artificial intelligence and other technologies with physical education teaching. Students will learn the basics of programming, create smart trainers and interactive sports games, and improve sports skills and innovative thinking.
Students will become well-rounded individuals with innovative thinking and healthy lifestyles, laying the foundation for future development in the fields of STEM and sports.
Basics of Sports Programming and Intelligent Trainers
Students will learn the basics of programming and use Micro:bit sensors to create smart trainers, such as posture correctors, smart skipping ropes, etc. Through practical sports activities, students will master the application of programming in sports training.
AI-driven interactive sports game
This part introduces AI. Students will train models to recognize sports postures and develop interactive sports games that integrate somatosensory, such as "Smart Bicycle" and "AI Dance Master". Through game design, students will improve their motor strategies and computational thinking skills.
STEM competition and sports technology innovation
Students will participate in team competitions that combine STEM and sports in groups, such as "Intelligent Obstacle Competition". At the end of the course, each group will present its sports technology innovation project and share its experience in applying STEM in sports training.
