Practical Project 1: Blind Reading Assistant

This practical project aims to teach students how to develop a blind reading assistant using the NVIDIA Jetson Nano development board and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology. Students will learn the basics of the Python programming language and understand the working principles and applications of OCR. The course will cover topics such as performing OCR processing using Python and setting up and configuring the Jetson Nano development board. Finally, students will learn how to utilize Google Cloud's text-to-speech service to convert the recognized text content into speech output. This course combines theory and practice, enabling students to create their own visual assistant upon completion.

Practical Project 2: Blind Obstacle Warning System

The "Jetson AI Specialist Certification Course Series: Blind Obstacle Warning System" is a hands-on course. This course focuses on using Jetson Nano hardware and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) APIs, along with Python programming, to develop a warning system that helps blind individuals navigate around obstacles. Students will acquire core skills in object recognition and speech output design, and learn how to integrate these elements into a complete system. By the end of the course, students will complete a final project, which involves implementing a blind obstacle warning system, testing and debugging it, and ultimately presenting and evaluating the project.

If you don’t have Python knowledge, it may be difficult to study the Jetson AI Specialist certificate course series directly. This course series requires a certain basic knowledge of Python programming.

If students are interested in the Jetson AI course but do not have a Python foundation, it is recommended that they take the ICT Python course first to lay a solid foundation in programming. ICT Python courses can help students systematically learn Python syntax and programming ideas.

After you have a basic knowledge of Python, you will have better learning results if you enter the Jetson AI Specialist certificate course series.
